Your privacy matters. LifeVault is a self-hosted application — your data stays on your server. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information.
LifeVault stores only the data you actively enter: notes, diary entries, people, voice recordings, reminders, habits, and recovery tracking data. Account information (name, email, password hash) is stored for authentication purposes only.
All data is used solely to provide the application features you use. We do not use your data for analytics, advertising, or any third-party services unless explicitly configured by you (e.g., OpenAI Whisper API for voice transcription).
Data is stored in your own MySQL database. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Optional end-to-end encryption (E2EE) encrypts your content with AES-256-GCM before it reaches the server.
LifeVault does not embed third-party trackers, ads, or analytics. The only external services are those you explicitly configure (email SMTP server, OpenAI Whisper API).
